Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley was an extremely popular Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was among the richest and most successful. He was in Shottas with another singer Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed to Shang Records where he recorded his debut album in 1996 like Father Like Son and several singles: Judge Not with Patra and Dear Dad" (which topped the British reggae charts) Who The Cap is (remix) as well as Sensimelia All of these contributed to his growing reputation in the newest generation of reggae artists. In 1997 Ky-Mani joined forces with Praswell (Fugees) to record Avenue an acclaimed cover from Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was the first artist to perform on stage at Midem in Miami, an international showcase of music. In Midem's Cameo Theatre Marley performed a set which was aired live on air by the Caribbean News Agency to 36 nations. Marley was engaged in a bidding war.
