Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American singer and musician who hails from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The first album she released for the label on Oct. 21 2016 with the title Pho. It was then that she began gaining fame. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out in May 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 when she launched her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014 she continued to upload her music via the web, including her own released single Bound. The track Sweat it is featured on Omen's Elephant Eyes album which dropped on July 21, 2015. Later that year her music circulated throughout the Dreamville team as J. Cole wanted her to join him in creating some possible references for Rihanna.
